110 for cpap

Are there any outlets for running a 110 cpap while not on shore power. Traile is a 2105 Pinnacle

Thanks

it's doubtful, as most units like yours that come with a residential fridge are only outfitted with a smaller Inverter for only the 120v outlet under the fridge.... but, if you can access that same outlet, you can run an extension cord from it to wherever you need - cpap, computer, device charger, fan, etc.

a few factories will have another 120v outlet on the Inverter, but sometimes it takes some investigation to find, but one being near the bed is not a bad idea, if any.

I got 12v adapters for both my primary and back up CPAPs and installed a 12v receptacle from the reading light wiring. Has worked great for 5 years and never notice campground power outages. While boon docking, they use very little battery. I do have a new CPAP with a heated humidifier and have yet to spend $80 for its 12V adapter to see how it does, but already know that I would have to unplug it when not sleeping as it seems to reduce air instead of shutting off completely.
Most CPAPs run at 12V and have a 110 brick to convert down, so why not use 12v as intended. I got 12v adapters from CPAP.com.

Amazing , I was just going to start a thread on cpaps! You will have to try each outlet to find out.

If it looks like the wall outlets in your house, it is 110. If it looks like the round outlet in your car/truck, it is 12v.
Oops, just noted the OP stated while NOT on shore power, which takes us right back to the appropriate 12V power supply and outlet. Be advised that cheap 12V extension cords do not often work well, so just install an outlet near the head of the bed.
My first time dry camping, I used a jump starter with a 300w inverter plugged into it. It lasted 1.5 nights and took 2 days of 110 to recharge. I did not sleep well and that drove me to 12V adapters instead.

I used a small 400 watt inverter for years before getting the 12 volt cord and now go directly to the 12 volt outlet.

All CPAPS run on 12 volt already. The brick in the 110 cord converts the 110 to 12 volt so by inverting 12 volt to 110 and then converting it back to 12 volts you have lost a good bit of power to the inverter/converter process. Much more efficient to just get the 12 volt cord. I have a Respironics Dream station and the cord was about $20. You can get clips that go direct to the battery or get a cigarette socket style cord.

Be aware All CPAPs do not run on 12 volt. My DW’s unit is converted from 110 to 24v. I ordered a converter brick from 12 to 24 then tapped the closet light for 12v to a receptacle. Check your brick closely.

Mine is also 24V. The 12V cord for mine is $125. I put a 400 watt inverter close to the batteries (mine has two 12V) and wired a power cord to the bedroom in my fiver so all I would need to do is turn on the inverter and plug into the outlet for it.

Hmm, I stand corrected. I have had several machines and all were 12 volt.

Same here, I'm on my 8th machine, all 12 volt and have never had a problem powering in the RV.

I have 2 different Resmed types and both of the machines are 12v. I first got a small inverter to power up but since I don't use the heated option for the water tank, researched and got the 12v cord to use when boon docking. Check your machine for specifics and type cord, they are all not the same. In the motorhome I didn't want to have the main inverter on which uses juice just to be on which is why the initial small inverter. For the 5th wheel which has no inverter, I'll wire a hot 12v close to where the machine will be located.
