12v Wiring excess 2016 Cardinal 3825FL

Lowered the coroplast belly to check on a possible jack hydraulic leak. Tightened the fitting, but also found a little extra 6AWG wiring stuffed in there as well. The wiring seems to go from my battery cut-off switch to the batteries up front. As I recall, the shorter the wiring, the better, so I’m looking for advice. I would have to remove the compartment wall to get to the switch connectors, cut and reinstall new connectors. Or, just cut out the excess wiring and use inline connectors and avoid the hassle of unloading the compartment and removing the wall. Admittedly, I am getting lazy as I get older. I expect I should pull the wires at the battery posts (2 6v AGMs) before doing anything else. I am known for taking anything simple and making it unnecessarily complicated. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Why not remove Battery Cut Off switch from wall... (4 screws)
pull all that excessive wiring out and redo the connection to battery cut off switch
*with just enough slack wire to make rewiring/replacing of switch easy

Tried that. The space between is too narrow to pull the switch with wires and the hole diameter drilled for the switch is almost an exact. Wish they had used that precision with all of the other penetrations. Can’t really see which way the wires are routed to the switch so, a little hesitant to hack around the switch. Guess I’ll just pull the wall out and quit being lazy. Thanks for the advice Old - Biscuit. Inter-Service advice is always welcome.(USAF retired)

Sounds like the floor jockey installed the switch on wall....pulled wiring/made connections to switch THEN installed the wall
*Hence the reason for 4 extra feet of wiring
