2005 Montana heat distribution?

Hello everyone, got me a 2005 37' Montana.

Since I moved into it on this project site, I haven't used the heat much, but now we are getting freezing temps, so I got to try out the furnace.

Issue is, the bedroom is about 20 degrees hotter than the rest of the RV.

It's actually kind of cold in the main part of the trailer, and hot as hell in the bedroom.

I looked inside the furnace compartment, and there are 2 duct hoses. The first hose runs straight up into the bedroom duct work, it's only about 4" away from the top of the furnace. It's so close to the duct work it barely had a hose.

The other hose runs to the main duct that heats the rest of the entire trailer, and is probably 6' long to get there.

No kinks visible, and duct tubing looks good.

So the issue seems to be that 90% of the heat just goes straight to the bedroom because the furnace is literally inches from that duct, while the other outlet has a long hose it has to go through to even get to the rest of the RV.

I considered laying something over the bedroom vent, but read several posts saying that insufficient airflow in the furnace can cause problems.

I'm not sure what to do with it then, it's definitely a stupid flawed design though, it looks like that should have been obvious..

Had anyone had this issue and found a solution?

How about running another hose(or 2?) to the main duct. And/or install more registers in the main area.

You are correct in not wanting to overly restrict the airflow.

Not quite apples to apples, bit in my 5er, my bedroom and bathroom heat vents are equipped with dampers that can be adjusted from full open to full closed.
I would believe that you could partially close off your vents without stressing your furnace.
Also, it would most likely push more heat to the rest of the trailer.

Thanks for the replies. I dont have a damper vent, but I did lay a towel over half of the vent, which just made it blow extra hard out of the uncovered half. It didn't seem to do anything.
I'm kind of worried about covering it the rest of the way.

Maybe it is possible to run another hose then, I wasn't sure. Can I just cut a new hole in the side of the air box and add another hose, or does the air box have to have the outlets available in specific spots?
I wasn't sure if that whole box was just an air box and I could tap into it anywhere, or if there is a fan inside there or something and the hose has to come out and it's specific place.
Adding more lines to the main would be great of that's possible
