Anyone have any experience with 2011 DRV's? Have a used one I'm considering and looking for comments on this year both good and bad.

More info. This DRV is a 36rssb3.

A couple of my overall concerns that I'm trying to address are:

The A/C's... a 15k and 13.5. I'm really concerned about their ability to work well in the hot Texas climate.

Actually, I think that might be one of my ONLY concerns. The rig appears clean, but I haven't seen it in person yet.

The unit doesn't have an inverter, which I need from time to time, but I suppose one could be installed pretty easily.

Those units are well insulated . Staying cool should not be a problem.

I'll assume the DRV is better insulated than my Columbus but I'm not convinced the 13.5k will handle it if you set zone 2( I assume the bedroom) on 72 during the middle afternoon. Having both running I've never had an issue. Zone 1 will actually cycle off but then zone 2 warms up until zone 1 cycles back on. Leaving zone 1 on high stops this problem but freezes you out in the living room.

We have a newer version of that model but have not stayed in it in Texas, yet. We did stay in South Florida where the temperature was in the upper 80's, set the thermostats to 70 and both units would cycle on/off.

Your satisfaction with maintaining a particular inside temperature has to be realistic. If outside temps are 110 I doubt you will be able to make it frosty inside, but you should feel significant cooling.

As I write this, we are in North Florida where the winds are blowing 20-30 mph and the temperature is a balmy 25! The furnace cycles on/off and we are quite toasty.

I have that model but 2018.Unit you are looking at has schwintek slides witch can be problematic.They can work but need to be adjusted properly.2 a.c.;s will not work well in 100 degree climate.

I think you will be fine with 2 a/c units. Our 39DBRS3 has 2 and we've been in 100 degree temps with high humidity and been comfortable. We set the thermostat at 75. Having 2 awnings on our door side helps. I would be more concerned with the Schwintek slide mechanisms, if equipped.

Not a DRV, but a Cedar Creek with double pane windows and the winter package, same AC units, and we survived July in Texas and Florida. Took awhile to cool down after a day on the road, but once it caught up, we were fine. You won't freeze, but you should be ok with those AC's. In the cold - we've done down to 12-14 degrees with wind and been just fine, nothing frozen...

So, as long as you have double pane windows and the heavier insulation that DRV brags on, you should be fine as far as climate control goes.
