2012 Redwood 36FB Leveling System
Good Evening
I'm trying to help my brother with a leveling system on his 5'er.
He has a Lippert hydraulic leveling system that randomly does not work. He's trouble shot the electrical system looking for loose wires. When the issue occurs it sounds as if the hydraulic pump is under strain and the voltage drops to 9 volts. He's pulled the pump motor off the pump and tested it and it run's freely.
Again, this is a random issue. Sometimes it works just fine, and sometimes it does not. Could it be the pump is going out and binding up the motor? Could it be contamination in the hyd. system causing the pump to get under strain and stop working?
Has anyone here had this issue or something like it.
The RV set for several years while he delt with medical issues with his wife who is now passed so he is going to hit the road looking for gold. He recently rebuilt all the jack cylinders as they started leaking when he started up the system. He's been going to YouTube university looking for answers and not found much. Any help pointing us in the right direction would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Assuming it is the Level-up System.
Here are the manuals:
https://support.lci1.com/master-owne...-stabilization
First check the batteries make sure these are good, the system takes allot of power to operate.
Unplug from shore power and check the system to see how it works.

I had a 2012 Redwood. Check for air in the lines.
You can use a drill to power the pump. If the pump motor stops, but the pump works with the drill, then the problem will be the motor. Since this problem isn't constant, it's probably air in the lines.
Another thing to try, the leveling system is a computer. Re-set it by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and see if it re-boots and corrects itself.

Sam
The Redwood group had a pretty good forum that is owned by "Andy R." who happens to owns this forum too. I used to be a moderator for it and I was very involved with Redwood.
On that forum, you'll find the wiring, plumbing diagrams and a whole bunch of help. I'm sure that forum would be useful to diagnose any problems your friend might have. PM me if I can help.
