Glitter, gold, diamonds, fancy paint, meaningless look good add-ons... etc.
Good (early) example of bling.

My sundowner came with a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty and 8 year structural warranty. That a good warranty and unlimited milage and use. Build to last. Sleeps 8 and can haul my corvette.

Take a look at Outdoors RV 5'ers. ORV units are a solid built 4 seasons RV. Carrying capacity of my RV is almost 4k lbs, not bad for a 30' RV. Nice amenities on the inside as well. Large capacity water tanks. 16" wheels, shock absorbers on each axle. The customer service is fantastic, both over the phone and via e-mail, important! Those are the little things that made me go with ORV and have not regretted it at all.

If the price point you are considering is that of a Jayco Designer or a Keystone Montana, then I would strongly suggest that you consider looking at a KZ Durango Gold or a VanLeigh Vilano. Both of these coaches are better built and offer a better warranty. They are both low volume manufacturers and have a historically good reputation. KZ has been in business since 1972 making them one of the older RV manufacturers and while VanLeigh is a new upstart their heritage speaks for itself. Can you find a better made RV than a KZ Durango Gold or Vanleigh Vilano sure you can just not at this price point.

Thanks for the tip. I want to add this to my list and will try to look at one this week. The reviews across the web are very positive.
Jayco eagle/northpoint
Montana high country
Heartland bighorn
Grand design refl/solitude
Durango Gold
The only concern I have about the design is the hydraulic slide mechanisms.

Regarding the KZ's
what are your (everyone) thoughts on buying a new trailer from manufacturer where the nearest dealer is over 100 miles away?

DW and I drove 1600 miles one-way to pick up our Outdoors RV Glacier Peak F26CIS. I'd do it all over again, well worth the trip. Not worried at all about manufacturer support as they stand behind their products.

So much out there
Hello . We been looking at the jayco pinnacle. Very nice . Then checked out grand design.solutude Seemed like a step up with beautiful furniture. Bathroom and flor plan was lacking. Some storage though. Raised kitchen and bed room. Seems like something is always missing. Now looking at the KZ gold which I'm told is well made as well.40 ft in length. Priced a pinnacle in ny and after comparing prices in Indiana found they are made there and you could save 10,000.
As far as trucks lookin at Ford 250 diesel . Dodge Durango 2500. Or the GMC, which I'm told drives like a car . Will let you know testing this week. Not that I'm an expert that's for sure.

Best check your numbers. You and I are looking at similar trailers and I can't see a way past dual rear wheel. I haven't really looked at 250's but know their weight ratings are lower than 350's.
I just started these two threads yesterday and you might find them useful
http://www.irv2.com/forums/f44/by-th...ht-345686.html
And
http://www.irv2.com/forums/f44/by-th...wr-345696.html
I'm looking at F350's and still need a DRW. Or, will need to find a lighter trailer

I'm considering doing that also. Where would you get warranty work done if you don't have a dealer anywhere close by?
