We have a 2019 Montana 3810MS which has a cargo hitch attached at the back end with a 300lb capacity. Has anyone out there experienced any problems with hitch mounted carriers, ie welds on the hitch not holding or the hitch breaking off? I don’t plan on putting more than a portable generator and other smaller items in it.

I built a custom cargo rack for the generator that attaches to the receiver cross member so that it sits about 1 1/2 over the rear bumper. Works great! I have about 5k miles on it with 0 issues. If you put something on the receiver hitch, I've found that it sits too low and will drag a lot. I have a bike rack that drags all the time but the bikes are lifted up so they don't get damaged.
