I suspect its OK but have not found a need for it. Recently towed my fifth wheel trailer in 95 F with generator / AC off and once I got to the campground I turned on the AC and I recall it cooled the trailer relatively fast.

Same question came up on this thread: https://heartlandowners.org/threads/...AC.%20porthole

I have done it several times no issues. With the app on my phone I can start it going down the road 30 minutes before stopping for lunch or camping arrival. It was really nice last summer in 100 degree heat to have it running a bit before stopping.

I have done it a couple of times. We have a gas 5500 Onan, did not have any issues.

We do it all the time.........nothing like pull off for a lunch break and have a nice and cool 5th wheel
Nothing like getting to destination and 5th wheel is nice and cool while setting up

Isn't that why you have a Generator....provide AC when not connected to shore power?
And if I have AC Power then why not run A/C Unit when it's hot

Besides......SHE likes it cool after a travel day!
