5th wheel history

Is there any way to check what warranty work has been done when looking at used RV’s? Would make me feel better to see what past issues have been?

On my f350, 2 hds, and my tahoe i was able to go to a dealer with access to the manufacturers system. They punched in the vin and were able to give me all work performed at a dealer. I would imagine youd be able to do the same with an rv.

I just talked to my Jayco dealer and their system won’t pull up previous warranty repairs but he gave me the number to Jayco. They could not or would not give me any information? Darn, that would be good to know on a used unit.

And this surprises...anybody? Probably one of the most closely guarded secrets in all of RV-dom; actual warranty numbers. # of units, # of claims / unit and total $ on warranty claims.

We bought a 2018 Heartland Bighorn 3160EL Supposedly "new". Spent the next 4 months in for warranty work. As I do with my truck, I started a binder that contains all of the work that has been done on this trailer. I did the same with the 2002 Montana 2955RL and the people who bought it very much appreciated the detail. Just saying....
