You are never going to see everything you want to see with one or even two mirrors, without gyrations in the cockpit. Wide angles help but distance is difficult.
Your mirrors are powered for a reason. Set them for driving and turning which is the most active thing you do.
Adjust them in for parallel parking. You will have to crane you neck to see

^^^ This is what I was guessing. Are there any extensions to strap on these GM mirrors?

I couldn't find any when I had my 2016 GM Dually. Not saying something isn't out there, I just couldn't find anything. Whats strange is that the previous generation of GM tow mirrors extended out to 107".
