90' Carriage 5th wheel

I am looking at a Carriage 5th wheel and am having some difficulty finding the value. I've tried a few different sites and come up with nothing that helps. 1990 model only two owners, very solid no leak damage that i can tell although i'm no expert on these. mainly what I see is cosmetics which I can handle. the floors, walls, ceilings, cabinets and all seem to be very solid. I'm actually impressed with that part of it. they are asking $4000 for it. said the ac blows warm air, needs water heater, could use some appliance upgrades as well. So my concerns are being able to find parts and service if ever needed and what the camper is worth. I've seen used carriage campers from $5500-$7500 for models in that year but better shape and they are either Cameo or lite, the one im looking at just says Carriage. Can someone please advise, first time buyer in the camper/ travel trailer business. Thank you!

A 30 year old trailer will not be listed anywhere for used value. The true value is pretty much what the market will bear and it all depends on the condition of the trailer.

If it is a good tight trailer, well maintained, good tires, good brakes, all appliances work, roof is good it night bring anywhere between $2500 and $5000. It is not a classic like an Airstream or an Avion. If it is not leak free and looks worn, maybe $500.

Carriage built a better then average trailer. It will have a wood frame, so be careful of any leaks.

Just a carriage it may be a royals. usally the lites were lettered. some were wood some were aluminum even back then. is it fiberglass or metal sided. mine was fiberglass. roof is the maIn thing. metal or other. appliances etc shouldnt be a prob. if it has the original carrier air you may have to edit the hole to put a modern ac on it. what length is the unit your looking at.
