You have to be positive that the frame manufacturer of your fifth wheel , won't void any warranty because of the adaptor being used .
The adaptor places extra load on the pin box and front frame due to the leverage.

Do not do this to a 5er. The frame is designed for the load from a 5th wheel hitch. For some reason, Lippert owns Reese, and they approve of the use of the GooseBox on their frames.
Some non-engineers will argue that the adapter does not put additional stress on the pin box attachment area of the frame. They need to take a basic course in mechanics.
If you have a GN ball in the truck, your best bet is to get a B&W TurnOver Ball and use their Companion 5er hitch.

Thanks Ken do you have a link. I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Lippert approved the Reese Goosebox not because they own Reese but because they had an exclusive marketing agreement
Lippert now has their own version now....called the Gooseneck Connect
As for Gooseneck ADAPTERS......not good idea due to the stress on standard 5th wheel pin box/structure from increased leverage

I believe these converters have caused issues. AFAIK there are TWO ways to do it properly. Note the difference in angle.
