Did the same but made mine myself. Reinforced the frame where it attaches and the back cross member. Only use it to pull a 8X10 atv trailer or mount a basket on the back.

Your Welder did a great job on that hitch You could tow another trailer using that hitch it is rugged . Clean the metal, Prime it, and paint it It will outlast everything else.

I had the Fabricator come back out and make some changes. He welded a piece of angle iron over the splice where he extended the hitch tube, and added braces from near the front of the tube up at a 45 degree angle to a steel plate that ran across. I've got the whole thing painted with Rustoleum now so we should be set to go! In another thread you can see the bike rack I will be using with this hitch. Below are pics of the completed hitch.

I have always had a hitch on my units. I pull a utility trailer with my atv on it or my boat. I am looking into a 6x12 enclosed now. If I get one, I can carry all my work items in there and have some extra storage.

Hoosier 5ver. Trailer hitches on trailers will get your rv warranty cancelled. A few come with it. If you want to know how confident a manufacturer is in their frame strength than seeing a standard hitch is reassuring. My crossroads cruiser came with a hitch rated for a 3000 pd. trailer with a 300 lb. hitch. It was also prewired for trailer lights. I have a generator bolted to a luggage platform. Being a mid profile I don't have room in the basement. The wiring allowed for me to install LED lights on the platform. The crossroads brochure actually showed a cruiser pulling a boat behind it. Be careful, Welding on frames can weaken the metal. Gibbs
