I bought a 26" lcd flat panel tv for my living room and am trying to figure out how to secure it when traveling. It has a glass base on it so sticky tape is out. Thought of getting a wall kit hand hanging it but I would have to build a wood frame to bring it out to the edge of the opening of the entertainment center. I'm not really sure what to do. Any one else tackled this problem? Thanks, Doug

We have the same problem. Not sure about wall mounts. We are afraid that the screws may pull out of the thin material.
So far our only solution is to remove the TV while traveling. It rides from place to place in the middle of the bed.
Will be watching to see if others have a better idea.

Stopped by CW today and while we were there we looked at a high dollar 5ver (inlaws were there). They had an LCD mounted in it on a slide out base but they used two pieces of 1/8 inch aluminum with 1 inch lips bent on all four sides. Looked kinda like an end cap. In any case, they stood them up and bolted the 1 inch lip to the tv where the standard bracket would mount and the other lips on the corresponding sides bolted to the bottem and rear. It is simple yet works so well. I hope it makes sinse. I did not have a camera today but when I make my brackets I will take pictures. Thanks Doug

We have our LCD TV on a swivel wall-mount. We planned for ours so while we had the walls ripped out, we added a 2x6 to the wall (floor to ceiling) and used a sheet of plywood on our fridge/freezer cabinet. Both are set up for TV mounts. I mounted the TV then added heavy duty cup hooks to the wall so I could use 2 bungie cords (left & right sides) to hold the TV snug against the wall. It doesn't move while under way.
