Alfa Gold
I am new to 5th wheeling and bought a 1999 Alfa Gold. What I would like to know is how do I drain my galley water?

albertson1,
Unless you have a rear kitchen, the galley grey water tank valve should be right by the front tire on the drivers side, you have to reach back under the unit a short way to find it. If you have a rear kitchen, then I am not sure.
Also, did you ever get you refrigerator straightened out?

No I am at home trying to figure everything out before we go, but I am hooked to water and power. Presently we are at our ranch.

We have a rear kitchen. I haven't had any problems with my refridgerator. Ron

I now nothing about the AlfaGold but most fresh water tanks have a so called low point drain, if you know the location of your fresh water tank look (probably crawl) under the trailer and look for a shutoff valve or plug/ cap thingy and open it. If you can't find or don't have it just use the outside shower and pump it all out.
I to like to travel with tanks empty but it's always a good idea to have a couple gallons in the tank for flushing or so. Hope you get it figured out.

albertson1,
The fresh water drain should be underneath the drivers side between the axles. That was where my 97 Ideal was.

I would say if you are talking about your fresh water tank, not the galley gray water tank, I would reconsider before I removed all my fresh water. We typically travel with our fresh water tank 3/4 full. You will need water for flushing and you never know when water will not be available at your overnight stop. This has happened to us several times in campgrounds and we were able to go about our normal routine because we had water.

I located the drains thanks. Now can you tell me where the switch is for the galley grey water. I found the black and regular grey water valves and the electrical switches to open and close them. There is a third switch also could this be the galley valve switch. Thanks Ron

yes the 3rd switch is for the galley grey water. Mine is the switch the farthest to the rear of the trailer, might be different on yours.

Fresh 3/4 full? Doesn't that add a lot of pin weight to your tow? Water weighs 8.3# per gallon
