With the B & W turn over mount we use with our Anderson hitch the chains are linked to the frame with some VERY heavy steel, not to the BED.

Is it possible to see pics of that? I would imagine that would involve more holes or slots in the bed with maybe small plates to attach the chains.

The TO Ball has 2 u-bolts that go through the bed and attach to the hitch base, which is attached to the frame. Part of the standard installation. There are springs that draw the u-bolts into the bed grooves when not being used. I believe B&W has full install instructions on their site, so you can see how it all works.
