Great news. I really think a manufacture would have a legal leg to stand on although they could make live a PITA.

About the only thing I can see that "might" be better would be is an air ride hitch but I'm not sure that would really make that much of a difference other than to smooth out the vertical stress. I don't see how you can get much chucking with a ball mount that the standard MOR/ryde inbox most use wouldn't already remove.

If the air ride would still help one could always use the Trailer Air Ride Pin Box.

So to me this is a no brainer especially when getting one of the newer trucks with the factory bed mount.

Sounds like you have reached the same conclusion I did last winter when I purchased my Cedar Creek and chose the hitch. I have been nothing but satisfied with both Andersen and their product.
