Andersen Ultiment

just was wondering if any one on this forum is using the Andersen system on their cc sb p/u with the king pin block attached so that it is reversed [behind the king pin not in front] for extra clearance. if so have you experienced any problems with it in this configuration? I have concerns that the lateral torque will loosen the block and allow it to migrate to one side or the other around the king pin.

I know I have seen several folks on here with a set up exactly as you mention... I recall them saying they have never had issue with the block moving... hopefully one of them will be along soon to answer your question.

When you torgue the 4 set screws on the block they dig into the pinbox preventing any movement.I have a long bed and run my block with the ball hole at the rear so my extended pin box gives me plenty of clearance to side of pu bed where with my reese it was really close and certain inclines has rubbed the rubber bed rail edge.

I run mine just as you described on my short box chevy and have had zero problems. I love mine it weighs 39 pound and in and out in 2 minutes.
