Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Rail Mount - locking kingpin coupler
We recently purchased our first 5th Wheel and the dealer installed the Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Rail Mount Connection in our F250 Super Duty. We had to have some maintence done on the 5th wheel so they told us to leave it in the parking lot overnight and they would work on it in the am. It dawned on us that there was no way to lock the kingpin coupler after we unhooked and anyone with a similar hitch receiver setup could literally load it and drive off.
Does anyone with the Anderson connection setup have ideas on how to lock the kingpin coupler after unhooking? Or perhaps another way of securing the 5th against theft?

We have seen these but since you have to push the latch cable in, there is no way to lock the ball in the coupler. We do use the X Chock tire lock when we are parked at a campground but not sure how we would leave the key for the dealership. Last time we had it in for service, I had to run the camper keys over due to them not having a master key for the model 5th wheel we have - Palomino Columbus.

I get your point with the latch pin, that's why I said somehow , but if you have the x-chocks it would be easy to attach a padlock and hide the key somewhere under the trailer or use a combination padlock and let the dealer know the code.

Funny thing about the x-chocks but I forgot to remove the curb side x-chock once and I never even felt it as I pulled away. An hour or so up the road and I got a call from the campground host who said I left it at the site. :( If someone wants to take the trailer, x-chocks probably won't stop them.
