There are some very good youtube videos on installation including the chains. You might want to do a search for other threads that have covered this subject. And the spelling is Andersen with an e to get the best search results.

If you purchase the chains from Andersen they also provide eyelet bolts used to attach the adapter to the king pin. Attach the chains to the eyelet bolts. I have one end of the chain secured to the B&W turn-over ball connection all of the time. The other end with the hooks I slap on the eyelet bolts when hooking up. It only takes seconds. It is also very easy to un-hook when disconnecting.

Yes I bought their chains. I have not opened the box yet to see what is inside. I figured they were generic chains.

Had that exact hitch with our 32' fifth wheel on a 99 F350 dually. Found that there was excessive porpoising and changed it out after 6 months of use. We upgraded to the B&W fifth wheel companion and never had that issue again.

I bought mine on trailers.com I believe and they are cable that have the plastic coting, are coiled. I have mine hooked to the 5er with screw shackles on the sides where there were wholes and they stay on the 5er. They recoil up out of the way every time. I have the B&W turnover ball with the spring loaded eyelets that came with the B&W. Works great for me

I just bought a new truck and toyhauler. I am using this hitch. Towed it home last night and all seems to be working well. One question.....what are you all using for a lock so no one can hook up to your hitch and steal your 5er when your parked at home on on the road some where.

I have an AUH with the safety chains. They hooked the clevises to the points on the B&W turnoverball assembly. I can fish the chains up pretty easy and attach to the hoops provided by the supplied hardware.

Good question. I dont use anything. Figured someone would have to have the hitch to steal it or take the adaptor off.
