I'm still running the Sailun with zero issues. Mine were just outside of the recall. All made in Vietnam and all date codes were within 6 months of the time of purchase. I bought mine from Simple Tire. I think the set of 4 cost me ~$700 or maybe a little less.

Transeagles

I just bought and mounted some Transeagle G rated 16' tires after watching about them on the BigTruck&RV Youtube channel...I will report back how they do, but they are impressive looking beasts...

Sailuns still but not sure about next time

I replaced the original S637's at 4 years and unfortunately got 4 of the bad lot from Walmart in Dec of 2020. I had tread separation on 1 tire after about 4000 miles and prior to the official recall. Fortunately it didnt blow, i just happened to stop in time to see the prob. Still lost a marker light and crumbled a small section of the lower skirt, that was back in 09/21. I paid to replace that 1, but then the recall hit and the other 3 were replaced for free. Replaced them at a truck service dealer that was surprised as he had not seen issue with Sailuns on larger trucks. In any case, the next set may be different.

I put Sailun 637 on my 2017 KZ Durango Gold, 14K. I had the tires on a year and got the recall notice, I took the 5W to the dealer I got the tires from, they checked and all 5 I bought were on the recall. They installed 5 new tires, got a year free so how can I complain.

I use Hankook TH31 and so far I like them. They are built in China like the sailun before.

So I went with the Sailun's. They have a 52/21 build date, new enough for me. They look much stouter that the Westlakes that they replaced. Time will tell, but I'm happy on day one.
BTW, I was at $921 OTD, that includes new valve stems, being taxed 2x (sales tax and tire disposal tax) for 4. It was the best price I could find locally.

look at hercules H901. same size and ratings as the sailuns. our local tire shop is a hercules dealer and they were on a sales deal. i have to admit i am impressed with them. there are several other tires with similar ratings such as carlisle, westlake, and a few more brands i can't remember.

by the way, goodyear recently purchased cooper tires with makes the hercules brand. even though they are an 'american' company as defined by the dealer the tires were actually made in thailand.

Just took Sailuns off of mine and went with the Transeagle's also. They are heavy duty looking and heavy. Didn't see the review but glad to hear they were reported on.

Same here.

Winding down a 22 day cruise thru Florida and had a blow out (original tires F load) nite before last, bought 4 Trailer King Ultra STR tires yesterday for $925 (mounted).

The guy at the Mom & Pop tire store made me a great deal since I was paying cash.
Plus he accepted my Louisiana resale certificate and dropped the sales tax.

G rated - 4400# per tire, Speed rated L

My rig weighs 13,000 lbs empty and I keep the cruise on 60.

They're good tires, but not made in the size needed for most larger fifth wheels.
