For what it's worth, I40 between Kingman and Ash Fork is a mess! The road surface has deteriorated to the point where 30-35 mph is often required! Allow extra time for dodging potholes.

It is a result of the freeze/thaw that happens as things warm up. Usually only for a few weeks until they do their half a$$ patch job. Yearly thing.

Just traveled I 40 headed east and I cant believe they have the road open to traffic. 150 miles of swerving to miss pot holes. We counted eleven cars with flats and watched three semis blow out back trailer tires. Normally we are thankful to get out of California for smoother interstate travel but not the case this trip.
