I have this one, and it works pretty well

Also, the camera is powered when you turn on the truck headlights.... goofy, I know, but it works.

camera

Had the Voyager 511 for years. Worked great.

Problem was it was only capable of 1 wireless camera.

Sold the 511 and bought the 541.

It is capable to operate 4 wireless and 1 hard wired camera.

i'm now operating 2 cameras.

The 541 is priced comparably to the 511.

Extra cameras are about $200.00

Check out Rear View Safety. They have commercial grade stuff used in farm equipment. I have 2 cameras on mine and it is wired for 3 cameras.

I went with Rear View Safety as well and am happy. Mine wasn’t wired for it so I got power from the center marker light so mine also needs to be run with the marker lights/headlights on to view.

Purchased my system from 4ucam.com $250 with free shipping and had to buy the adaptor for $20. Took about 1 hour to install and the system works great. 7" monitor with nice clear picture. Signal good to up to 100'. I didn't feel like paying $400 or $500 bucks for a system.

After just coming from a DP with a very nice rear camera, I looked at everything and found this that gets great reviews on Amazon, figured what the heck can always return it. Actually its really pretty good, is is perfect no, but I did not pay enough money for perfect...
will it do the job and do it well, Yes!

I bought a Furrion 381556 wireless setup off Amazon because of the great reviews. Ours was also wired for backup camera, but all I really used was the existing hole to feed wires from center clearance light that was just above it. I tapped into those wires, turn on the parklights and it works perfectly and does not have to be in reverse.

One thing I really like about it is the colored guide lines it has. I back my fiver into a narrow 12ft wide cover and they line me up perfectly.

Another thing that works really well with it is the cell phone holder in the link below. I had to use my Dremel and notch a slot for the antenna. The windshield mount that came with the Furrion would not work well with my Ram and always pointed down. This phone holder works out perfect and just sits on the dash unless you want to use remove the backing on the two-way tape that comes on it...

I've been looking into this myself, but I'm still debating. I don't want to mount a bunch of extra stuff on the dash of my truck. I do have a "double DIN" space for the stereo, so I'm planning to put in one of the touch screen stereos and run a backup cam for the truck to it. I'd like to then run a backup cam for the trailer into the aux video in. I debate about wired vs wireless, but most of the wireless seem to use their own monitor.

My rig is a shorter fiberglass Keystone, so wireless signal "should" be OK. If I find an inexpensive wireless cam/receiver, that I can hook into the head unit, I'll probably give it a try.

I also have a double din Pioneer in the dash, but I like the idea of having the camera on not only in reverse. Plus it is totally portable, I just unplug it and throw it in the center console when I'm not towing and it is not cluttering up the dash. I can add a license place camera to the rear if I ever decide to have one in my truck when not towing, but don't really need one.

I was just thinking about this the other day. My '18 ram has an aux video input to the main screen. With a double throw single pole switch I can install 2 extra camera inputs to it. If I put a double throw double throw switch in between, I can install a second switch and have 4 extra camera inputs

Now if I can figure out how to make the cameras double duty, driving and security, I will be happy.
