There is no best 5th wheel hitch.

Pullrite/Reese/Curt/B-W and others make some good hitches for heavy trailers.

Others have their favorite hitch/truck/RV/etc !!

^^^^^ +1 What he said. We have the B&W Companion, 22,000 pounds capacity in our GMC 3500 and when I remove it I have a flat bed in my truck to haul anything we need to haul.

And if you want to pay extra for an air hitch, the Hensley BD3 is hard to beat.

I have the best hitch I have seen on the market. Build 24 yrs ago by RBW.
Been full timing with it for 11 years. And installed on 4 th truck. About 200000 miles of towing.

HA, I used to think the RBW was DA Chit but I really got tired of the clunking when stopping and taking off. I also hated the rails left in the bed since I used my truck for work. A friend CONVINCED me to buy the B&W about 2005 and I have been thanking him ever since for being so darn pushy!

Silence is GOLDEN.

BTW my Dad ran the RRW for thousands of miles then one day the slide bar actually broke so I CONVINCED him to try the B&W and he thanks me.

I use my truck everyday and the plates are never on the way.
I don't even get any chucking. Grease and one bar rebuild has been the only maintenance required. No bars across my box for me.
