Sailun S637 would be my pick in that size.

Sailun S637 235/80r16 'G'
After issues with Goodyear I switched to Sailun
Ran them for years w/o any problems

What size is recommended on your RV nomenclature? Go with that and since trailer tires are not for traction, shop for a rib type tread pattern, they will not be the cheapest. I’m not going down the rabbit hole of tire manufacturers.

Either Sailun S637 or Hercules H901 series will serve you well.. I would change the size to ST235/85x16 for more load capacity with either tire brand.

Funny this showed up. We just had a Goodyear lose the tread on the backside. About 5000 miles on it. Thank goodness for the tire pressure monitor that warned us in time to get off the interstate. Is there any reason not to replace that tire with a sailun?

We've had excellent results with both Goodyear and Sailun tires. I would recommend either.

My question is whether you need G rated tires?
Most RV's don't have the wheels that are capable of handling the ultra high psi G rated tires take. And unless your fifth wheel is well over 15K lbs., G's are not needed. I say this because the G rated tires are so hard they shake your trailer substantially more.
I'm satisfied with my Bridgestone Duravis 205 ribbed tires like they use on F550's with utility beds and small cranes.

assuming you have 7000 lb or higher rated axles the Sailun 637 will be your best economy choice. The goodyear 614 is also a good choice. If your trailer has the goodyear wide base endurance 16" tires you may want to stay with that tire just because of the size difference , they are wider and taller then the 637. I have used both Goodyear and Sailun tires , I run them for 6 years and swap them out , so far I have had ZERO tire issues, knock on wood. I had 16" power kings on my equipment trailer that didn't last 27 months from production DOT date on the side wall. Felt a tire vibration at highway speeds , stopped and looked at them very closely in rest area then continued to drive to my camp . About 30 miles from the rest area a tire blew apart at 70 mph with my 11,000 lb skid steer on the trailer. That woke me up fast! I put the goodyears 614 tires on that trailer made the same 170 mile highway trip with the skid steer 10~15 more times since then ,no tire issue.

My trailer came with Westlake tires, they were junk. A friend of mine runs Hankooks on a fleet of gooseneck trailers running thousands of miles per week. Based upon that and dealer recommendation I went with the Hankooks, so far all is well, I guess we will see how they perform long term.
