Black water treatment
Well, this is most likely a stupid question. But, as the old saying goes, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask. I usually put my black water tank chemicals in just when I get home and after cleaning the RV. Well, it's been a while since I went out, and I just don't remember if I did or didn't put the chemicals in the tank. Here's the stupid question. Is it a problem if I add more chemicals to my black water tank? I use the blue liquid. Forgot the name.

Probably not. I've done it more than once.

Mine gives off a pleasant order. If I forget I wont smell anything. Or the wife will let me know if I didn't add any chemical. So I only forgot once.

We use Dawn dish soap and Gain fabric softener in our tank and have had no issues. Gain in the stool between trips always smells good.

No issue. Tank chemicals will even tell you on the bottle that you may need to add second/more in hot weather or if first treatment doesn't work. No issue except extra cost.

Add plenty of water, water is the black tank's best friend.

Given the number of people that don't use chemicals at all I think even if you didn't add any last time the black tank will stand a tank full without, might as well save your money.

Personally I don't think you could 'over do' the chemicals... Sometimes we use them, sometimes not... Like said above, use plenty of water,,, let the black get fairly full before dumping... then the grey to wash out the hose... Monkey

Shouldn't be a problem double dosing, especially during hot weather.
