I am looking into replacing my manual black tank valve with an electric or cable operated valve. Do you have recommendations?

Personally, I'd be very skeptical of the dependability and reliability of an electric black tank valve. I like the T-valves.

I'm sure there are many members who have opted for the convenience of the electric valves, I'm just stating my personal preference , not knocking those who want that convenience.

Maybe some who have electric valves will post their experiences with them.

You know, I would like to know the answer here too. I have a valve, actually two that are right under the trailer that you have to get down on your knees to open the darn valves. Such a pain in the ars. I would welcome a new way to open them.

My trailer came with cable actuated valves and so far they work great. All of the T handles are mounted close to each other right at the edge of the trailer so no more bending down and reaching under the trailer as before.
