Brought the trailer home today.. could not get the brake lights or the signals or the emergency flashers on the trailer to work at the CG.. I had running lights..tail lights and the brake controller in the truck indicated I had trailer brakes...Everything on the truck worked fine....I only had a couple miles to go so I went the back way without any problems.. I got home and got out the test probe........I cleaned both sides of the connection with a brush...There are 6 connectors plus the center round one... my probe indicated 4 of the 6 were dead..my running and lights were on one..and then for some reason everything else was on another one and even then it was a solid on(no brake lights then either).. there was no flashing as you would expect to see when the signals were operating and none when the emergency lights were on...Is there a flashing unit under the dash that might be fried???is the wiring harness fried at the plug...anyone got any ideas??? any advice? thanks..

Using Mark's RV wiring page, use your tester and assure the all truck plug pins are hot when appropriate. Then check your ground pin for continunity and resistance.
If the truck end is working properly, your trailer wiring has to be the problem. Check the trailer wiring at the junction box inside the trailer front, then trace all the way to the bulb sockets. Include the trailer ground wire as you did the truck's.

Oh, did I mention I hate wiring problems! I've got to find the break in a 12V wire to some interior lights this week.

Take a look at this page at the very bottom:

flashCube FAQ

There's a diagram of your trailer's umbilical cord connector. It's pretty easy to jumper from the 12volt pin to any of the other pins to do a quick diagnostic check of your trailer's wiring once you know the layout of the connector pins.

Hope this helps!
