Cardinal 5th wheel?

We have been looking at new Cardinal 5th wheel's. Three of the four dealers we visited say they are no longer going to sell new units and dealers are getting harder to find. Anyone know why? Thanks.

I was dropping off my Suites for some maintenance work and saw this one on their lot--might be worth talking to them, if you are looking for a Cardinal:

2015 DRV Suites Lafayette "Cajun"

Cardinal is a Forest River product and they have announced one, maybe two, higher-end models which is probably the reason they might be ceasing production of the Cardinals.

I would contact the Forest River Cardinal folks and ask them where are local dealers in your area who will sell the new Cardinals models. I have attached their contact page below.
Forest River RV Contact Us - Forest River, Inc.
And the sales rep is: kdoutlick@forestriverinc.com

I would seriously doubt that Forest River is dropping the Cardinal line. When we where at the last F.R.O.G. (Forest River Owners Group) rally there was just as many Cardinals units at this rally as there where Cedar Creek Units. There was over 100 + Cedar Creek models that I counted and at least as many Cardinals units their also, out of the 700+ F.R.O.G.er's at this rally last year.

3 out of 4 dealers? That's strange.

It could be many reasons--manufacturers' problems. Or dealer problems. Who knows.

You might consider looking for another brand that's comparable. There are many, many brands in the retail market.

It's best if you limit your search to more than one brand of fifth wheel trailers.

Believe me Cardinal is still being produced. I have one and like any other brand you have a problem but overalk l have been happy with it . It is a 2013. Great support from the company. Go to Cardinal club . org and you can get many questions answered about the bird and even join the club. Great people , including me ! Lol

They are still available

I've been checking them out myself. Look at bestrv.com.
