I have contacted Klever and they are trying to blow me off but they don't know me. If anyone else have bad trouble with these people I have contacted a Class action suit site. http://classactionsource.hugesettlements.com/
I think we all need to show these people they can't do these things to use. They are endagering ourselves and our families. With this garbage they put on our RV's.

If you have a Cardinal a blow out is a sure thing. Sad but true. I received a call today from a John Kish (Oct 5, 2007) in Michigan who read my post about the Kenda tire blow out. Kenda is denying his claim. His treadwear was minute, but I think he was barely out of the warranty period. They told me last year that the warranty was "extended" but I did not get the exact period of coverage. It appears to be 4 years. My incident was just inside the 4 years his incident was just outside the 4 years. His rig suffered $3500.00 in damages. Mr. Kish talked with Forest River and they profess to be ignorant of the tire problem. I find this hard to believe as a search on any forum indicated lots of blowouts on Cardinals. It is time Forest River stopped using Kenda tires. The tires are Made In China -- surprised???

I will be taking them to Small Claims court. Even if I loose, at least it will make them have a lawyer appear. If we all do this it will start to cost them money, even if they have them on retainer their retainer rates will go up. It will cost me $15 to have them served and I don't need a lawyer.

Well add a few more Kenda tires to the list.
Bought a used RV an Artic Fox and it had 3 Kenda tires on it. I ask and the owner said he had a blow out, it just a little damage.
Well on the way home we had another blow out. BOOM and we are looking around to see who blew a tire, 1/4 miles later, it was us. This one blew just behind where all the propane lines cross, copper ones.
Lucky for us we didn't go far, and no damage done.
Looked over the remaining Kenda and one had a large hump in the tread. We bought two new tires and ran the spare on home.
Those tires are JUNK.

I agree with Mark Clement above. It is time to continue to push the RV industry on quality issues. Eventually they will have to listen to the customers when sales begin to fall off as the public becomes aware of poor quality from the internet forums.
I also may be visiting the small claims court. The water damage to my rig due to improper sealing at the factory will cost about $3,400.00. The estimate came in today. The RV maintenance manager said Forest River products have a lot of leaks. This is from a small town well respected RV dealer with many years of experience.

I have a 2005 Cardinal 31RKTT. I have had two Kenda Klever tires (LT235/85R16)shell the tread this year, one in the spring and one in August. I probably have less than 5000 miles on the tires. Has anyone had any satisfaction from contacting their dealer or Cardinal about this problem recently? I did not have much damage with the first seperation, but the second one ripped some wiring, lighting and skirting off.

I have had no help from any of them. Unless someone knows how to start a class action suit we are on our own. My last blow out cost me $2500 in damage to my rig. I have since repalaced all my Kenda's with Goodyears. $200 a piece.

I had three of them blowout--yes, actually blow out on one trip. I replaced everyone of them with a quality tire.
I've contacted Cooper Tires, the company that imports them, and they say they will provide some sort of pro-rated reimbursement but are not interested in covering the damage that occurred.
I saved all five tires so that I can roll them into the courtroom and show the judge, should it come to that. Small claims might well be the way to go if the company won't take responsibility.
All I do is work for lawyers, investigating matters (I'm retired law enforcement) and delivering legal documents. The filing fee in Kitsap County, Washington is $50. The service fee to serve Cooper Tire will be around $100, all recoverable fees if I win.
Let Kenda (Cooper) send somebody out to Washington state answer to the judge why they're not responsible and also explain what happened to the cords on each of these tires (it's ugly), not to mention the fear it caused my three grandchildren when the first tire let go at 65 miles per hour in the inside lane of an interstate highway.
By the by, I spoke with a Cardinal dealer yesterday and he told me there had been a recall on the tires for the '03 and maybe '04 Cardinal.
