Carri-Lite Max 1

Does anyone here own one?
We went to look at another brand and found a Max 1 that we might just buy!
Any downfalls other than Carriage went kaput.
Also need some ideas of weights for it, CVWR, pin, axles etc.
I'm a member at Carriage owners forum so already looked there.
Thanks for any help

No. Their frames were built in house. Double box tubing.

Double box over the axles and single up front. Check for loose/broken/rusting screws around the front cap.

Congrats! These are very nice rigs. We purchased a 2010 37MSTR (it has the same full wall slide as the Max1) in November and have been extremely happy with it. No problems whatsoever. They are built like tanks. Heavy beasts though and need a powerful tow vehicle.

LOL...
Our Carrilite still Lives!!!
Not many new units compare to the quality in the original Carriage brand. We have stayed in temps from 4 degrees to 116 degrees. we are in the process of finding our next home but are having a hard time finding a comparable unit. DRV was at the top of the list, but their takeover by Thor has not been good for their quality. Looking at New Horizons or Space Craft.

Slim pickings with DRV run by the corporate bean counters, Forks RV gone...NH and SC are good but who/what else.....used?...clock is ticking on used those.

Interesting looking at RVIA stats.....income of the average RV buyer isn't keeping up with inflation = consumer buying power is decreasing.

Can a 2002 Chevy 3500 4x4 handle a 36 Carri-Lite?

Is anybody using a 2002 Chevy 3500 4x4 Extended Cab Duramax to haul a 2007 Carri-lite 36'?

Is this a Dually or a SWR? An older dually might carry it, but Carriage is a heavy unit. They are comparable to a DRV in build style with a double box stacked main frame. Our rig loaded for fulltime living is 19000+ lbs in weight, and has a pin weight of 4850.
