Carriage Domani Bedroom Slide

Hi,

I just joined the group and I am hoping someone may be able to help.

We just acquired a 2008 Carriage Domani and I have an issue with the bedroom slide. When it brought all the way in the H-seal leaves a gap about 1/4" to 3/8" across the top. It appears the slide has sealed before because the top of the roof is black from the seal rubbing. Does anyone know how to adjust this? All the graphics on the outside align perfectly so it doesn't appear that the slide had dropped in anyway.

Welcome to the forum and to Domani ownership. The Domani slides have a ramp on the house side of the slides to keep water from running inside. Possibly the slide was out for long duration or in high heat and the rubber bent up. Carriage did not put top flanges on their slides so the rubber seals could wipe debris off when closing. I put slide toppers on mine to keep all water out when the slides are closed.

Thank you for this information, this makes a lot of sense.

I am mainly concerned about the water getting in when we are traveling, the gap between the rubber seal and the top of the slide is way too wide and will definitely let water in if we are in a rain storm. I believe I found a 4" seal that can be mounted under the rain gutter to create a water tight situation. More to come.
