I have a thermostat on the wall and also a remote. I changed it out because I had found half of it. I've also tried the remote and it never would. That is one reason why I took the inside cover off and noticed the colored wires. I have looked at other control boxes from the same unit and it seems those wires had a clip lock type end (white plastic looking piece) that locked in with another. I asked some guys that worked on carrier units but they've never dealt with one from a rv. Kinda at a stand still at the moment but hope to figure it out. Thanks for the words and trying to help with the problem hopefully I can get back to it in the next few days....Sfergie

I adI had 2 units now all I have left is the owner's manual.
and a few other spare parts.

When (not if) they fail there are two companies.. Advent Air (A made in china company) and Coleman (Airexcel as I recall) that make upper units with adapt-a-kits.. THe difference is Coleman/Airexcel does nto make the adapt a kit. another company does.

And when I went to replace mine .. No joy they were out of stock.

Page 2
The adapt-a-kit for the Advent was easy. basically it is a plug in wiring harness and one added socket, Takes someone with ELECTRONICS training to swap out the Molex socket (The RV technician did not know how.. I .. am an electronics technican)

Cleaning the Advent was a job however. not well designed for cleaning the fan BLOWS air out so the inside of the condenser gets clogged. the cover is both taped and Tab locked, not screwed as it is on the Carrier (Which by the way also blows) NOTE usually if it is tripping breakers or not cooling.. SUSPECT #1 is the condenser.

The coleman SUCKS and only 4 bolts to remove the outer shroud and peal off the cottonwood cotton (NICE)

My advent the fan blew up (China bomb?) and the replacement fan.. Turns out it accepts a Coleman.. so not it sucks too (nicer)

With the Adapt-a-kits you keep yoru original controls.. On the coleman you also have to change the lower plate/grill as the bolt pattern is different. but . It's nice.

I did have a blower motor fail,,went to replace it and found out "discontinued".
Ended up buying a universal motor at Grainger Supply. Motor is a direct electrical fit but not a direct mounting fit. Took a bunch of work to retro-fit but it came out great.

The connnector is common, but Molex makes about a million different configurations.. Easier to swap out to a standard connector if you need to. Just so you know.
