Cedar Creek Emergency Slide Operation
I've been searching and am having no luck. My stepson is traveling and we have no way to contact him. He has a Cedar Creek Hathaway Edition 38DBRK (~2018,2019?) semi-permanently located at a small park near us. We are taking care of his dogs while he is away.
He has low voltage on one leg of the 120V at the pole, which is keeping about half his 120V devices from functioning. The park replaced the breaker and that did not fix the issue. So now they need to work on the power pedestal, but say they cannot do that unless the one slide which is about 6" from it is pulled in.
I went to bring that slide in, and his electronic do everything controller, when I got the slides, shows that he only has one slide, and that one is the bedroom slide. It works. It cannot see the dinette slide or the living room slide. I assume that is because of the power issues, but I know nothing about the slide systems on this 5th wheel.
So I basically need to manually retract one slide. And I don't have keys to the exterior bays. Can anybody tell me if the slides are electric, hydraulic, or what, and where (in which bay or elsewhere) a manual override would be located please!!
Thanks,
T

I'm not familiar with that unit so not much help on the finding a way to manually move the slide. If you have access to a generator you could try hooking it up and running the slide. Good luck

Cedar Creek Emergency Slide Operation
The slides are going to be hydraulic and rely on the 12v side of the house. You can try rebooting the electronic control system, with the easiest way by turning off the battery disconnect. Unfortunately, since you don’t have keys to the underbelly, you won’t be able to get access to the disconnect or the batteries. I’m not familiar with the specific touchscreen in the Cedar Creek, but in my old Cardinal, I was able to remove the touchscreen from the wall and unplug it, which will reboot the system, and may get the missing slides to show up. If you can remove the touchscreen, be careful to don’t drop the control wires down the wall.
Worst case scenario, hook it up to a truck, raise the jacks and slowly move it forward to free up clearance to the power pole.
Good luck.

Thanks. I went back out to see if I could plug in to the neighbor's power box. The 50 amp power cable was about 5' too short to reach, but I took my 30 amp extension with me and my adapter. I verified that the rear AC unit does function when it has proper power, but was still unable to get the control unit to recognize the other two slides. I was concerned about doing a Reset on the control unit fearing I might end up not being able to control anything. We think we have a better place for the dogs to stay now, so stepson can deal with it when he gets back.
BTW, we do have his truck there, but of course we don't have keys to that either!
Cheers,
T

Nice you were able to verify the bad power on one leg was causing the issue with the outlets and a work around for the pup.
I bet he leaves you keys next time .
