Chaparral 279BHS

Thinking of buying a Coachman Chaparral 279BHS. is there any major flaws in these trailers? Most trailers will have little issues but I want too know if they are any show stoppers.

My wife and I purchased one new last August. We haven't had any major issues yet. the only thing I noticed was when we went camping for our first outing the antenna crank didn't work, when they put the screws in for the base plate it pulled the ceiling panel down causing it not to work. I simply took the screws out, pilot drilled the holes and reinserted the screws and it worked. there was one we looked through at a different dealer where the back bedroom door was binding a little. We have had ours out three times and we are pleased with ours.

We purchased a chaparral 26rls this past year and love it. So far, knock on wood, we have had no problems. there was a design flaw in the tank drains, but that was handled by the dealer. Other than that, its been great and we look forward to many years of camping!

We have a 2010---276 a d have been for the most part very pleased. It is not a high end unit, molding not real fancy but has been very useable. The only real complaint is the slide up windows have a whistle in them if it real windy and you are parked just right, but other than that is has been fine. Just depends on how fancy you want,if you want it for recreation or to live in.it is not a "full timer " rig. For recreation it has been great.
