Cruiser Swivel Wheel

Hi all , I’m looking into a swivel wheel set up to put a motorcycle on behind a 5th wheel trailer. Any recommendations or comments? Thanks.

I've got the small version of it, with one wheel. I have a Weber Grill and job box with about 250 pounds of stuff in it, as well as a spare trailer and fiver tire. I've towed it somewhere around 20k miles this year, never a problem. The tires that come with them are good for about 10-15k miles. Also, the tire that's on mine is consistently the lowest temp on the whole rig.

Now for the downside - you are a good five feet longer, with all that entails. In shorter sites, I try to put it in the grass at the end of the site. The biggest downside I've dealt with is that it has no suspension, and is hard on whatever is riding back there. Took three times rebuilding and improving my grill to get it right - now I have no issues, but keep in mind that it was designed to move on the patio, not down a rough road.

I have a swivel trailer by Fast Master behind my 34' Cameo fifth wheel. I have carried a GL1800 for 3 years and a VTX1300 for the last 2 years. The GL was a better bike to have but the wife can handle the VTX easier. I prefer the trailer to carry the bike lengthwise vs crosswise, this allows the bike suspension to work with the trailer. I also like the tapered ends since tail swing does happens on sharp turns. Get a tire monitor system, rear camera along with 2 spare 8", 8 ply tires at 100psi, cause they are hard to find sometimes. The nice benefit of the swivel trailer is I can unhook it when I decide to get rid of the bike and still keep the fifth wheel intact vs a toy hauler. Not cheap at $3k+, but I can always sell it to recoup some of my cost.

Check your weight distribution carefully as some will put the weight on the rear and unload the pin. A friend was taking his to the scales after a new install and lost control and flipped the whole thing, truck and trailer.

Check out Idaho Tote. Not cheap but the best there is. I haul a Polaris RZR on mine.
