Dealer Recommendation

Can anyone tell me who is dealing the best on a Grand Design Momentum 5Th wheel in the mid-west ? What would I expect to get off the MSRP ? Thanks for your help.

Can't help you with a dealer.

Prices are all over the map. Some charge MSRP, some charge a little off. A FEW real deals out there, all depending on what and where it is.......

So there is no straight answer to that question.

Google the trailer and send an email or a fax to the dealers that interest you. You can either go for their best OTD price or you can tell them what you want to pay. Tell them what options you need and how you plan to pay. An alternative is to find the best price you can via the internet and ask your local dealer if they will match it.

Make sure your local dealer will do warranty work for you if you buy elsewhere.

This is important. We had no problem earlier this year getting 30% off of a Momentum 376THS or a Solitude 375RES anywhere outside of our area however our local dealer wasn't so willing. They also clearly stated that they wouldn't service us if we bought somewhere else. It wasn't a deal breaker as we had another Grand Design dealer two hours away we just ended up going another direction.

You also can still use a mobile tech - Grand Design worked really well with us and mobile techs on our last rig.

For me while price is a consideration, service is primary. If the dealer won't stand behind the Mfg. the deal is off. Grand Design is one of the better companies but if the dealer does half a$$ repair work its becomes a giant hassle. Our rig has been back several times (Just had a new roof installed under warranty) and little things are still being flushed out after 8 months of ownership due to parts availability.

You find anything yet?
Read your sales agreement carefully, it may state in there that the buyer must return the unit to the dealer for warranty work. Our sales agreement did.
But since generally the warranty is normally 1 year, after that time, you can go anywhere for service.

Sometimes a manufacturer will pre-authorize a mobile repair to come to you. In our case, we had to pay the service call, but Heartland paid the labor and parts.
