I have a '21 Jeep Wrangler diesel. I know it will only take the smaller nozzle. Would like to be able to fuel up at the truck lanes when in tow. I thought they made an adapter for that?

I have no issue filling up my DODGE pickup truck at truck stops in the truck lanes. This is one reason I always push using a Diesel engine pickup truck for towing large camping trailers such as a large 5th wheel. The easy of filling up over a gas engine pickup truck and the way gas islands are situated compared to the truck lanes.

You could carry something like this

Or this

But you may have flow restrictions due to the tank filler neck / tube size and tank vents.. just may take more time to fill using the high flow truck pump.

Just remeber to always pull forward when done fueling if your going inside, or park in a designated spot to get out of the way

My 2018 F150 wouldn't allow anything but the "small" diesel nozzles so I did a little surgery. It works now.

We have a set of truck pumps close to my house, so I always fill up (towing or not) at the big pumps. It fits fine in my 2016 Ram 3500. Lock it on the first detent and I can fill the truck up from empty in about 30-40 seconds.

I also like going there because there is a DEF pump that makes filling up easy. Plus I have more confidence that the DEF is a lot more fresh than what you buy in a box that's been sitting on a shelf.

Interesting. The filler tube in my 2018 Chevy 3500 is too small.

My F350 takes the large nozzle but I fill the transfer tank and fill the truck from it to keep diesel fresh.

My 2015 F350 DRW has no problem with the big truck nozzles.

My Allegro Bus is very picky about filling and some hi-flow nozzles don’t work. I sometimes deliver pontoon boats around the country with my diesel Grand Cherokee which will not accept hi-flow. I sometimes have to go in and ask, but most places have a standard nozzle for diesel somewhere. There are occasions where my toad or boat partially block traffic — I just try to be as quick as possible then. “Sorry”.

Chuck:

What are you driving? My 2021 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel with the 33 gallon tank has no problem at the big boy truck stop pumps. I don't even have to remove a gas cap... just open the door and stick the fuel nozzle in. There's a spring loaded flap.

I am driving a 2019 Chevy 3500 dually D-max. I can barely pump any in before it bubbles over. It really sucks when an 18-wheeler then pulls up behind me in the lane and I am having to pump super slow. I did see here one of the guys uses a funnel of sort so I may try that.
