Diesel pump nozzle too big
I have pulled into several truck stops for fueling with the TSD card only to find the larger size nozzle for the 18-wheelers. How do others fuel their pick ups in the truck lane?

In my case I have an aux fuel tank on my pickup that takes the full size nozzles.
I hear rumors but have never check that some have a lane with smaller nozzles.

I haven’t had any problems with the truck stop pumps. Sometimes I have to put the holder on the lowest setting, but it fills up as usual.

Our F250 fuel filler tube is large enough for truck stop pumps.
Aux tank as well. Just need to be careful or you end up wearing diesel backsplash when tank gets near full
Bil has a 2020 chevy and no issues for him either

What do you have? Fords and dodges arent a problem, just cant go full bore.

If it's an older 7.3 Ford 250 or 350 just knock the plug out of the filler neck. That may work on the 6.0 Fords also. Very easy to do and it just goes to the bottom of the tank and chills out down there. The neck itself is big enough for the larger nozzles.

I had this problem with my old 2003 Duramax I would just have to put the fuel in "real slow" by but, it worked. The new truck accepts the bigger nozzle but, I don't set on the handle at fastest setting just to be sure I get a full fillup.

2002 Duramax here. Just have to hold the nozzle in and fill very slowly. It's a bit of a pain, but doable.

Thats a fact of life for all of them due to the flow rate. If im lucky i can get to the first detent and let it do its thing. Its still faster than using the little pumps

After returning from a recent 2400 mile, 10 day camping trip, I miss the hi-flo pumps. The puny standard station pumps take FOREVER....
I don't like the DEF at the pumps though. Like the price, hate how messy they are/get.

Even though the DEF is messy sometimes you can almost be sure it is fresh.

2012 F-450 no problem with the bigger truck stop nozzle as the filler openening was plenty big. Actully the normal size nozzel was too loose when the truck was solo and filling up at a non-truck stop pump. And it took forever to fill up on the slower pumps.
