personally,I don't understand why anyone would waste the space or the money for a dishwasher in a RV unless you have at least 4 people living in it. Thats why they make paper plates.

We like to be green and not use disposable plates, cups or bowls. So we wash our dishes. Would be nice to have a small dishwasher to use.

I did install a Frigidaire 18" dishwasher. We are fulltime, and have more important things to do. LOL like NOTHING!!! In our previous 5th wheel, I removed the oven and bought a stove top, then built in a smaller table top dishwasher, because of space limitations. We knew when we ordered our 5th wheel I was going to put one in, so we ordered it without the oven. Ordered the convection oven/microwave option above the stove. My wife bakes anything she wants, in the convection oven and it takes less time. Everything looks and works great, even if I do say so myself. If you want more info and pictures. I did post them on another forum, I could give you. Just PM me and I will respond with the what forum it's on.

Hope this helps and God bless,
Mike

I have had two drawer type dishwashers in the last two 5ers. I love them. They are very efficient and do not use much water. Our 5th wheel is our home and we have enough space so I see no reason not to have one.

Its a personal preference--we bought used and there was one in there already...small, but my wife would not be without one now. They have improved some since ours was new in '05.
I would think the biggest problem in a retrofit would be the plumbing and how to connect water in/drain lines.

A washer/dryer is much more important to us than a dishwasher.

Dishwasher install will be last on our list. But will probably have one by the time we full time. For now it's W/D. Satellite , new tires 6 of them in about another year, new thin tv,s. these are 6 yr old, softener probably sooner on that. Then lastly a dishwasher. Hope to have those goals met in 18-24. And I forgot new hitch this week

I boondock most of the year and recently brought home a portable dishwasher. The dishwasher came with alot of options, but the unit seems to go haywire about one a month for a few days. When the unit is down I have to provide for myself, but after a few days everything is back to normal.

The unit is a 5'8" redhead model and answers to the name of Kate.

HP does the Dishwasher ever smack you one?

Like Mike, Jack and Joe.... If we got one put in probably would not be without one.
We have never had a W/D yet.
Our base camp CG is out in the country near Lake Francis Case. No Laundry facilities so we had to haul laundry to town once a week 14mi ow to do laundry. Not a big deal other than I accompany my DW and then there goes a whole morning of fishing.
Right now with all the other related expenses of a new rig, we are putting the dishwasher as last priority.
