The bottom belly cover has an access panel to be able to get to the grey and black valve for service. My friend who has a 2001 30RGO limited installed his and he said it's not too bad. The access area is small for working with the grey valve as you have to add(glue)a reducer to the 1 1/2" pipe to adapt the the new 3" valve. He said it was a little tight but doable. He is in his 4th year with this electric setup (Drainmaster) and says it works good. He recommended the one that has the LED lamp on the switch. Of course you gotta know he's a retired electronic engineer!

That's the answer I was hoping to hear. Time to bookmark a couple of pages.

After replacing several of the cables and one valve, I decided to try the electric on the black water plumbing. Works great, for two years now, I will replace the grey water valves as they go bad. It was a easy install. The electric valve is very senesitive to the mounting bolt pressure. You may have to do several try and error sessions to get it right. I thought the bolts on mine were so loose that it would surely leak but not so.

I just put electric openers on the gray and the black. The stupid cables are way to flexy and it just seems to be a poorly engineered solution to this problem. The openers were a little expensive though $140 each.

Roger,

What brand did you put on? Did you do it yourself? Where did you put the switches? I ask so many questions since you have the same model as we do. Thanks! Tom
