I have 2 of the HONDA inverter style gen sets the parallel together... for the most part that works for us... what either ONE will not do is run the converter and the microwave, or the hair blower, or the curling iron... any 2 items and it trips the single 2000 watt gen set so I'm forced to start the second one... so when we boon dock we can run ONE and use the converter to keep the batteries up, and we run the direct TV box, the TV etc... with no problems...

I honestly wished I'd grabbed a 3000 & a 2000, as I'd be able with just the 3000 to run converter and any single appliance... and would only need the 2 for the AC...

BTW I love the HONDA's.... very quiet and they just sip fuel when in the eco-mode...

No. Not the same. What pointrow was referencing is a head unloader. It will be a metal tube about 2" long with a small metal ring on the end. Just pull on the ring to unload the head til it starts.

How about a hard start capacitor to help get the genny started? I know you bought a smaller one, but I still wonder if it would have helped.
