Experiences with Pullrite 2600?
I'm getting tired of having my bed taken up by the heavy Reese 27.5k. I was going to get an Andersen Ultimate Hitch but it seems to be a controversial item.
Apparently the Pullrite is kind of a reverse AUH, with a gooseball connection between the hitch and the bed. Then there's a gooseball converter that attached to the underside of the kingpin of the pinbox. You lower the trailer onto the metal cup (as opposed of lowering the plastic cup down onto a gooseball on the AUH).
The mfgr touts this as being very easy to hook up, especially if you're kind of off angle. It certainly looks pretty well thought out, although I'm kind of put of a little bit by having to use a long metal rod with a curved end to engage and disengage the latch.
Can anyone comment on their experiences with the Pullrite 2600?
Any issues towing or hitching/unhitching?
Did it improve or worsen your towing experience?
Does it ever get stuck where you can't release the lock unless you put the truck in neutral and/or rock the truck back and forth a bit?
Anyone use a rubber stall mat (with a gooseball cutout) like the ones from Tractor Supply to keep the hitch from moving around?

Looks pretty stout compared to the Anderson. I have the standard Pullrite ISO 20K hitch. The 2600 requires a factory or add on under bed goose neck installation, which cost wise puts it out of reach for now. I sometimes need to hitch up at off angles which I cannot do with a standard hitch.
With any ball setup you need to have safety chains as well.
Good luck in your search!

I've had mine for over 2 years. I have had 0 issues in that time. It slide into the rails of my older truck and when I upgraded last October, all I had to do was purchase a puck adapter. It takes just a few tries when hooking up, now is easier. I also get almost 0 chucking.

I use a pullrite 2600 with standard 5th wheel rails in my F350. We also use a morryde pin box. This combination has has worked wonderful for us. Very quick and easy to hook up and the ride is fine. The bent rod for latching the hitch works well, and just takes a second to release it to lock the ball into the hitch. It has never gotten stuck, really can't see how that could happen.
Having the ability to pull the 4 pins locking the hitch to the rails and lifting the hitch out of the truck, easily by myself, to give us an open truck bed is great.
I have no complaints with this hitch.

Sounds great! I really haven't had all that much chucking (or it may just not bother me). The biggest issue for me is not having full use of my bed. The Pullrite 2600 should solve that problem, with the bonus being the ease of hitching up at off angles. Thanks for the testimony.

I just completed a 700 mile round trip to and from Florida. Mine is the single point attachment torqued down to a B&W Turnover Ball. Everything works as Pullrite advertises. I will add that a person turned in front of me causing me to brake harder than I ever have. For a second I felt the trailer try to pass the truck. The trailer brakes did their job. The truck and trailer straightened up barely avoiding an accident. The other driver never saw me as he was too busy texting. The point is everything on the hitch and king pin stayed in place. Nothing shifted, bent or snapped.

Thank you for the testimonial. The B&W turnover ball is the one I'm considering.
