Felt bumper strip

Rebuilding the slide out on my Alumacraft 5th wheel. There's a felt strip, 1" wide, 3/8 thick, 13' long, that is glued down on the frame rail, so that when the slide is all the way out & "sets down", it rests on that felt. One end of the felt looks like it may have been chewed on. I haven't had any luck locating a replacement. Anybody got any ideas?

my slides have a piece of UHMW that the slide runs on... it runs the length of the slide and is attached to the floor.... it has a simple radius on it...... the bottom of my slide has a nylon fabric that runs against that piece of UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) plastic/nylon...

I don't know if your felt is used as a wear surface for the bottom of the slide.. or a seal once the slide is open... if its a wear surface I'd consider replacing it with the UHMW material that's screwed to the floor and would many more times the life of your felt strip..

Uni-Grip ---OEM Vendor
Check their catalog or CALL them

http://www.uni-grip.com/dealer_catalog.pdf

IF that doesn't work........ACE Hardware ---Big Box Outlet...ETC
Get 10-12' of wide soft thick garage door seal and apply it to bottom area where slide makes contact. (Wide thick soft gray kinda dense foam)
I did that about 6 yrs ago when we were traveling (didn't have Uni-Grip info).
And it is still in place
