Fifth wheel slides
Hi, can you leave your fith wheel hooked up to your truck and put the slides out for a quick pull off for the night?

We do if the site is fairly level. I drop the front jacks to take a little weight off of the truck and disconnect the trailer connection.

I did it for the first time a week ago. Pulled into a nice level site and simply put all six feet down manually.

I typically manually, vs "auto level" mine using the 6 point jack system while leaving it hooked up to the truck.
It takes less than 2 minutes to do and then I have no worries and the RV is stable and level.

Yes. There is no reason not to.
As far as using levelers, don't try to lift the back end of the truck off the ground. But a little left<->right won't hurt a thing.

I would agee. If the sites fairly level, small movements with the jacks down are OK while the trucks attached. Most of the time it will just take the weight off the truck. If it's more than that, I'd disconnect. Its not hard to reconnect once the normal preparations are made.

We're doing it right now, at the Las Cruces NM "Recycled Roadrunner Sculpture " rest area. Free with a great view from above the city and a fantastic work of art.
