Cool filling water tank problem

Had to pass this along, I've had problems filling the fresh water tank in our '08 Challanger. It would work OK the first time but the next time I tried to fill it, it would not fill - kept spitting the water back at me! I would then use an air compressor to blow out the vent/overflow line and it would work OK for the next time. I thought there was a blockage in the vent line. Not so - figured out it is a design error. Filling the tank till it overflowed caused the vent/overflow to fill with water. The vent line is above the fill line so it would not vent. I'm going to move the vent/overflow line to under the 5er, like every other 5er I've ever owned.

Ansious to know if your trick worked? Mine is the same and i think at one point the fill hose goes up to high and creating an s shape making it hard for water to go in.

Now I have to find one of the valves that fit the vent hose that will let water/air out without letting bugs in. I have seen these on other 5er but I'll be darned if I can find one or even the name of it. It is plastic, not metal and very
