Does anyone know how many or the spacing of the carriage bolts commonly used to attach the wooden floor frame to the steel coach chassis?
I have been effecting some water damage repairs. A small section ( 1' x 3')of the right rear deck was damaged due to water infiltration. I cut out the bad section of plywood and scabbed in some new 2 x 3's against the existing floor joists for something to screw the replacement plywood to.
The portion of damaged original plywood had a carriage bolt going through it down to the steel frame.
After re-insulating and screwing/gluing down the new section of deck, I realized that I had forgotten to replace the bolt.
At this juncture, it would be difficult to put this bolt back in because I do not see clear access to the underside to attach the nut.
How crucial is a single deck bolt?
