Fuzion bent frame
i took my fuzion in to a repair shop for some bent hangers due to a blow out last year on 95 in georgia. the repair guy had a look at it and hes saying both frame rails are bent, passenger side where hangars started forcing the bottom of the ibeam to fold inwards. the flat took out one of the gussets that supports the floor right above the tire, broke the subframe weld that ties the i beams together right above the spring hangars and shredded the underbelly. i thought id be paying out of pocket to have the hangers straightened but the shop said get the insurance involved, so i did. the damage is being covered under my collision since the blowout was from a giant sized pothole.
im curious if anyone has any experience with something like this? im actually hoping they total the trailer due to the repairs involved.

There’s really not much to say. I would guess it’s an occurrence most haven’t dealt with.

I have broken a spring hangar in a campground and had to have it repaired before moving.

i have too, it wasnt a big deal. this time though, the hangers are actually folding the bottom of the frame up on the inside.

the big question is what came first , the broken frame that caused the tires to heat up but to alignment problems ? Or did the frame break from the tire blowing out? Both are possible , I would guess the shop could give a estimate that is so high they could total it.

i would guess the blowout caused the bent frame. it was quite an impact when the tire blew and everything came down on that side, not a gradual release of air. the tires arent very old and theyre a good brand tire, but i cant remember the name offhand. even the hanger i had rewelded on and boxed and i know the frame was straight there before the trip is bent inward. that hanger didnt bend either, the frame rail gave just like it did at the equalizer hanger.
