We had a tiny 600w Generator until I bought the 3200W inverter generator this year. It weighs around 100lb with oil and fuel full. We totally organized the underbelly (basement) on our 5er. It is stored in the side compartment beside our BBQ. It's on wheels but needs to be lifted 1/2" on one end, then I roll it all the way to the back.
You do need to be strong though. I can do it, my GF, not so much. I guess if need be a wood ramp can be fabricated to roll it up and down.

The added weight on the front of the TV adds to the stability of my drive down the road. I can power my TT without taking the gen set off of the carrier. I have kept an eye on engine temperature and It has no effect on engine cooling, while driving down the road. I couldn't be more pleased. I can run my ac in the hottest of temps and still have plenty of power to spare for things like , my induction cook top and refridge.

200 lbs. capacity per Lippert so 100lbs is half the rated. Been there is 2017 and we are about 3/4 time, 10,000miles plus a year.

I would not like that. You are probably obstructing and disrupting 25% of the airflow to the cooling system. Also, with my luck, some dufus would back into the generator and crush it.

Probably bolt on to the front bumper brackets and/or tow hook bolts. These are commonly available. https://www.etrailer.com/fmr-2021_Ch...erado+1500.htm

As far as not liking it, it doesn’t void the warranty of your fifth wheel when you put it on your truck, like to let her Keystone sent me. They tell me if I put a cargo carrier on the back of my fifth wheel it voids warranty I photo copied The letter they sent me on this form.

Cant say much about a dufus mess-up, but I watched engine temps while towing my TT in 94 degree heat with no noticeable increase in coolant temperature. The generator sits almost a foot forward of the TV grill.
I did retrofit the carrier with fiberglass corner marker rods to keep from
doing any dufus stuff, myself.
I had the Hitch mounted to the front of the TV frame. Both it and the carrier are rated at 500#.
It's not obvious from the photo but the carrier is offset above the hitch tube by aprox 8", giving it a pretty good ground clearance.
I When not carrying the generator, the carrier works great for a large cooler and a couple of zero G folding chairs.
What can I say? So far so good....
Safe travels

Sorry Buck, The only way I could get a photo of the mounting is to crawl under my Truck on asphalt that is 100+ degrees today..
Maybe tomorrow..
I got the idea from seeing a lot of surf fishermen along the jersey shore with front mounted carriers, carrying coolers and fitted with rod holders..
