Same for us. Nothing more to say. It's all been hashed out a thousand times. Weight, reliability, etc. etc.

I don’t see what’s wrong with asking questions on a forum such as this. Asking questions and reading responses is how you learn. New products come out, new links are provided, and reviews may change over time.
The vast majority of topics and questions have been covered before to varying degrees. A forum that contained only topics on which questions had never been asked would be a pretty sad (and small) forum.

Yamaha
This works for me on a 50amp 5th wheel with two 15000 BTU air units
6300 ISDE
Carry in bed of truck, ahead of hitch. It is heavy , so I built a dolly / cart for it. It is QUIET , expensive , reliable and runs my whole rig . Have had other contractor grade generators , but this is my "Cadillac" .

To add a tiny bit to the conversation. At my house I have normal 15amp and one 20amp outlet.
I can run a 15,000btu A/C unit if I plug into the 20amp outlet. I can not run that A/C unit on the 15amp outlet.
This verifies much of what others are telling you.

We went big! Yamaha 6300 watt (200# dry weight). But we also want to be able to use it at our house. So I'm going to work with my local welding shop this spring to fabricate a winch to get in and out of the front storage. I think/hope they can make it happen. Anyone reading this thread with suggestions let me know.

That's the one I have. I'm afraid to leave it in the back of the truck, so I'm going to work with my local weld shop to fabricate a winch and swing arm to get it in and out of the front storage.

Where are you going to put that size gen? My 12.5 Kw weighs just under 800#'s. An 11,000 Kw gen is just over 80 times the output of mine.

I just sold our Honda EU6500is, relatively in the same class as the Yamaha. But way too big and heavy (350lbs) for most occasional RV'ers. We actually bought it as a backup generator for the house. But after 7 years of never using it, decided to sell it. Now have the two Honda 2000s that are MUCH easier to manuver around. We only have one AC so the 6500 was complete overkill.

My Yamaha 6300 watt weighs 200# dry. There is plenty of room in the front storage of our 5th wheel. I just need to fabricate a swing arm winch to get it in and out of the storage.

No, and why are you talking KW? We are talking watts here. Do you have any idea how big a 11,000 KW generator is? That would be 11,000,000 watts or the starting capacity of 5,500,000 Honda 2000 generators.

That should run his two AC units me thinks!
